Weekday Wedding Photography

Choosing a Weekday Wedding
Choosing to get married on a weekday is often a very thoughtful decision. For many couples, it offers a quieter, more relaxed way to celebrate, with less emphasis on spectacle and more attention on the people involved. Venues are calmer, schedules tend to be simpler, and the day itself can feel unhurried and personal. While weekday weddings are especially popular for civil ceremonies, registry offices, and smaller gatherings, they can be just as fitting for larger celebrations planned with the same attention and care.
How I Photograph Weekday Weddings
Weekday weddings tend to suit a calm, attentive approach to photography, and that’s how I like to work. When the day allows for it, I’m able to photograph things as they unfold, without rushing or over-directing. I’m comfortable working across civil ceremonies, registry offices, and larger weekday celebrations, adapting to the shape of the day rather than imposing a fixed structure. The focus is always on thoughtful, unobtrusive documentation of what matters most.

About Me
The first good photograph I took was of Bob Dylan. It was with a simple 35mm film camera at a music festival many years ago. The picture was just a snapshot, but it captured the spirit of the day – which is what it’s all about.
I spent many years photographing concerts and musicians for a newspaper. All through this time, I was learning how to use a camera and how to photograph people, and it was a wonderful way to learn.
Today I’m a wedding photographer and videographer and could not be happier. It would be a pleasure to join you on your wedding adventure and to document your celebrations.

Why My Clients Love Their Photos
“We’re so grateful to Chris for capturing our wedding day so beautifully! The photos are absolutely stunning, every moment was captured perfectly, and the style is exactly what we’d hoped for. The turnaround was super quick too, which was such a lovely surprise. He made us feel totally at ease on the day, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. He also acted as our witness for us which was above and beyond and so kind! Highly recommend! Thank you so much Chris!”

A Short Film of Your Weekday Wedding
Alongside photography, I also offer the option of a carefully crafted highlight wedding film. This can be created by me filming alongside photography on the day. If you’d like more comprehensive coverage, such as the full ceremony and speeches, I can work alongside a colleague who is dedicated to filming the day, while I take the lead on photography. I also offer Super 8 wedding films for couples who’d like an analogue, film-based look.
