London Family Photographer –
Timeless Portrait Photography

Hi, my name is Chris Boland – thank you very much for finding my portrait photography. I am a London family photographer who loves to take meaningful portraits that are full of life and character. My work is characterised by finding real moments and expressions even within the setting of a photoshoot. I mix natural light and beautiful compositions to create photographs you will want to frame and see every day.

My family portrait sessions are perfect for families of every size.

Outdoor Family Photography in London

I always like to have my photo sessions outside because I adore natural light and the sense of freedom that the outdoors can provide. I find that being outdoors helps both children and adults to relax and to be themselves. This helps me to produce photographs that are filled with life and personality.

There are many areas in London that are perfect for family photos. If you have a favourite park or open space let me know – I have a few great ideas too.

My role as a photographer is to put you at ease so you can have a fun photo session. I especially love photographing children.

Watch How I Photograph People

My style of family portraiture is natural and relaxed, but with a very classic and timeless feel. I don’t see the point of pictures of you all standing like statues. I want my photos of you to have life and character. I want you to truly recognise yourselves and have each other’s personalities brought to life.

There are lots of considerations to make a great portrait and I have made a video outlining some tips for better pictures. The video was originally aimed at photographers wanting to improve their work, but I’ve included it here as I think it can help you understand what I aim for in my family photography. There’s a lot going through my mind when I press that button.
